I'm going to try and speed through the rest here, but basically, if you are able to find and convince each Chompette to join you (including Potato), then you'll get a scene at the end where all of them minus Potato are asking you to visit them again before disappearing, leaving you and Potato alone. When in each room, you're able to find different dialogue texts if you continuously click on one place to search despite having already looked there.

Get it right (or so wrong they pity you) and they'll join your party (relates to your grade from Cabbage at the end), get it wrong and they'll leave. Each one asks you a question once you find them. If you decide to continue playing hide-and-seek, however, you'll have to go through the cabin in order to find each of the Chompettes (Onion, Bread, and Raspberry in that order before going to Potato). My memory isn't the best, but that's the basics of what happens after picking to go to the basement straight away. After speaking, you, Potato, and Cabbage go back upstairs where Cabbage grades your hide-and-seek performance. I won't get into any more details on that bit since I don't want to spoil too much of the game for anyone reading (the demo is free). Choosing to open it will grant you access to another Chompette, one that is meant to be the final Chompette: Potato.Īfter finding Potato, you and him will speak for a moment about your memories and how you have forgotten something important. However, if you choose all the right options, you'll be met with a door.

Her you are met with many choices, most of them ending in cabbage convincing you to go back upstairs, sad that you were only able to find her. However, if you pick the second option, you'll immediately go down to the basement where you find the door is unlocked. If you continue playing, then things are just like if you picked the first option. If you choose to stop playing, you'll be greeted with two more choices: Continue playing or insist you don't want to play. After finding her, you have 3 options to pick from: Ask her what's next, tell her you don't want to play hide and seek anymore, or ask her where the basement key is.Ĭhoosing the first or third option will grant you with basically the same outcome (the only difference being that you don't get the key if you choose the first option), while the second depends. You can talk to her (and end up getting a couple of different answers depending on the options you choose throughout the conversation), but eventually you go back into the kitchen to find Cabbage. When you reach the living room, Karin is sitting in a rocking chair, whittling away at a block of wood (she claims to be making a wooden knife using.her knife). Yes, she is an actual cabbage.Ĭabbage invites you to play hide-and-seek with her and the other 4 Chompettes, but first, you have to go talk to Karin in the living room while she hides. After you finish talking, you are greeted with the leader of the Chompettes, Cabbage. In the game, you start out in this old cabin with 4 other people (Karin, Mariah, Gregor, and Anatoly) who are thanking you for dinner. It reminds me a bit of DDLC due to the cutesy vibe of the game and the characters when you first start out, but obviously, as spoiled by the "Psychological Horror" tag on Steam, it becomes much darker as time goes on. The game in question is called "Cooking Companions: Appetizer Edition" and it's a demo for a game that will be coming out this October. I was surprised to see that it was pretty unknown, so I decided that making a post here would be best. Of course, my first thought was to immediately see if anyone was talking about this game. Hey! This is my first time using this account and actually making a post on here, but I recently found a new and interesting game with a lot more to it than meets the eye.
